Abstract

Stunting or short is a chronic malnutrition problem caused by lack of nutritional intake for a long time, resulting in impaired growth in children, namely the child's height is lower or shorter. This study aims to see the potential of stunting alleviation in Malang and assess the level of achievement of the Stunting Handling Policy in Malang City. This research uses the literature review method with literature search using Google Scholar and Pubmed research databases. The results showed that as many as 3,084 children or 8.9 percent in Malang City had a risk of stunting. That number is the result of the weighing month in February 2023 of 34,382 children. The Malang City Health Office continues to strive to reduce stunting. In 2023, the stunting rate is expected to decrease by around 5%, and the Malang City Government has formed a Team for the Acceleration of Stunting Handling (TPPS), a collaboration between all parties in striving to reduce stunting.
