PEMETAAN WILAYAH DI JAWA BARAT BERDASARKAN KARAKTERISTIK PROFIL PEMUDA SEBAGAI DASAR STRATEGI PENINGKATAN INDEKS PEMBANGUNAN PEMUDA

Abstract

This study aims to determine youth in districts / cities of West Java Province based on the characteristics of youth profiles. This research data was obtained from scientific publications of the Central Statistics Agency related to the characteristics of the  West Java youth profile in 2021. The data is then analyzed using cluster hierarchy analysis to look at groups of regions. The results of this study show that there are 3 regional groups based on youth characteristics, but more than 62% of groups are in  cluster 1 which is a regional group with poor youth profile characteristics. Despite being in the same province, the potential of youth in each district/city is different. It is important for the authorities to further develop such potential. The establishment  of a youth index for each district/city can spur improvements in the characteristics of the youth profile
