KAJIAN PENERAPAN GOOD GOVERNANCE DALAM MENINGKATKAN SISTEM AKUNTABILITAS KINERJA INSTANSI PEMERINTAH KOTA MALANG

Public demands on the government as the public sector encourage the government to continue to innovate and improve the quality of public services. One of the efforts to improve service quality is the application of good governance. The application of good governance has been claimed to increase the accountability of the performance of government agencies, which could be interpreted as an instrument for evaluating the achievement of public services to the community. It gave birth to the Government Agency Performance Accountability System (SAKIP) with a legal basis starting with Presidential Instruction No. 7 of 1999. This law is being updated to Presidential Regulation No. 29 of 2014. The implementation of the SAKIP assessment that was carried (that was carried) out throughout Indonesia, including Malang City. This study was conducted to determine the performance of Malang City government agencies as one of the regions of East Java, with a dense population. The purpose of this study was to determine the effect of good governance principles on improving the quality of government agency performance. The research was conducted using the literature study method by reviewing the official website of the local government and other literature. The results of the study conducted showed the results of SAKIP Malang City got satisfactory results with the predicate A. These results expected to be a motivation for other local district governments to continue and improve the quality of performance of government agencies.
