ANALISIS PENGELOLAAN SAMPAH ORGANIK BERBASIS MASYARAKAT (STUDI PADA PASAR GADANG KOTA MALANG)

Abstract

The City Government of Malang in order to reduce the amount of waste that enters the TPA Supiturang, it is necessary to conduct a community-based waste management system. This waste management system requires a link between the best waste management theory, the right legal basis and clear policies so that it can be handled properly, effectively and efficiently. Not only that, waste management, especially involving the community, is inseparable from the role of the government, the private sector and the community itself. The community-based waste management activity at Pasar Gadang is expected to be able to empower and open employment for the surrounding community. The research method used in this study is a qualitative method. The data in this study were sourced from interviews with respondents as well as data obtained from reports, books, journals, magazines, and so on. The data is then arranged in stages by presenting data obtained from the field, analyzing data and information then drawing conclusions and verification. Resulting in descriptive data to describe the community-based waste management system in Gadang Market, Sukun District, Malang City.
