Abstract

The increasing development, population growth rate and clean water needs in Malang City, it is necessary to re-examine clean water needs now and in the future so that the people's desire to obtain clean water distribution services can be fulfilled. The purpose of this article is to determine the capacity of clean water, clean water distribution systems in the city of Malang until 2025 and determine the appropriate pump specifications. This research method uses a qualitative and quantitative approach through direct and indirect data retrieval. The results showed that (1) the capacity of water needed by the people of Malang City until 2025 is 2,360 l/s, while the current production capacity is 2,263 l/s, so the additional capacity needed is 97 l/s. (2) All regions can not be served with a pressure of 0.5 bar at peak hours so it still needs pressure repairs through the installation of inline pump, until 2025 it is necessary to add three units of inline pump for the Klojen Subdistrict, Sukun District and Kedungkandang District. (3) pumpa specification for effective discharge capacity of 86 m3 / s, effective discharge for each pump 3 m3 / s, head 15,998.18 m, type of submersible pump.
