Abstract

Community participation becomes the most important factor in the progress of a region, as well as the city of Malang. Community participation in the democratic government order requires public involvement in the increasingly important decision-making process in the era of regional autonomy. The city of Malang has a wealth of natural, cultural, and beautiful areas that can be used as a basis for development in addition to economic and political factors. Increased public participation in the spatial arrangement of the city to be one of the special studies for the government for the purpose of development is implemented optimally. In order to realize, the researcher used Mixed Methods Research method with qualitative and quantitative data collection. Qualitative descriptive analysis is supported by quantitative descriptive.
