Malang City, like other big cities, experiences traffic congestion which results in a low level of road service, especially at level crossings. Related to this, this survey is to identify the condition of the volume characteristics of roads that have a high average daily traffic which will be prioritized for handling. The survey method is carried out by enumerating traffic and surveying the geometry of the road segment. The enumeration survey was conducted on Mondays at 06.00-12.00 and at 15.00-21.00. Geometry survey was conducted to determine the width of the road, the width of the road shoulder, and the type of segment. There are 33 roads out of 42 roads surveyed that have almost the same characteristics, which are dominated by type 2/2 UD. The average V/C ratio of roads is more than 0.75. The level of service for roads is quite good, except for the Jl. Kahuripan and Jl. B.S. Riadi has LOS D. Based on the MKJI planning rules, the planned roads must have a performance V/C ratio of less than 0.75 at the end of the planning year and it is projected that as many as 29 roads require widening.
